A Best Place to Work, SciQuest Also Receives Fast 50 Award from Triangle Business Journal
Back to News ReleasesCARY, N.C. November 11, 2008 - SciQuest, Inc., the global leader empowering enterprises to realize the potential of strategic procurement, today announced that the company has received two awards from Triangle Business Journal: Best Places to Work and Fast 50. Executives from SciQuest were recognized earlier this year with two additional awards from the local business journal, including the 40 Under 40 Leadership Award and the Women in Business Award.
This year marks SciQuest's third appearance on the list of the 50 fastest growing private companies in the Triangle. The rankings were determined by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, who evaluated private companies based on a formula that takes into account both dollar growth and percentage rate of growth over a three-year period. With expansion into new markets and a rapidly growing customer base, SciQuest continues to outperform other local and national technology companies, yet maintains a strong focus on its workforce as well as a steadfast commitment to providing customers with industry-leading solutions and support that empower them to realize dramatic cost savings and operational efficiencies.
"Our outstanding workforce is at the heart of every success and recognition that SciQuest receives," said Stephen Wiehe, president and CEO of SciQuest. "Our employees' dedication to providing our customers with leading-edge procurement solutions and round-the-clock support stems from the collaborative culture and gratifying environment that also makes SciQuest a great place to work."
This is the second consecutive year that SciQuest has received Triangle Business Journal's Best Places to Work award. SciQuest was one of 15 mid-size businesses chosen based on an employee survey process conducted by a third-party market research firm. The company's dedication to its workforce is also evident in SciQuest's recognition on the North Carolina Family-Friendly 40 list by Carolina Parent and selection for the Business Champions Award by Business Leader and Wake Tech Community College, both for two consecutive years.
Regarding the Best Places to Work award, Triangle Business Journal publisher Char Grunwaldt noted, "These companies invest in their employees, garner trust among co-workers, manage effectively and create a highly valued culture. That is truly inspiring to other Triangle businesses."
Winners of the Fast 50 award are highlighted in the November 7th edition of Triangle Business Journal and Best Places to Work award winners were featured in the September 26th edition.
