RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., June 27, 2006 -- SciQuest, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand supplier management and procurement automation solutions, today announced that it has partnered with Oracle to integrate its on-demand catalog management tools with the Oracle® E-Business Suite and Oracle's Peoplesoft Enterprise for a robust e-procurement solution tailored for the Higher Education and Life Science markets. Tight collaboration between Oracle Consulting and SciQuest Global Professional Services, will help organizations to realize seamless integration, rapid implementation and continuous support of the application.

SciQuest's applications are on-demand, multi-commodity supplier enablement, supplier management and supplier integration solutions designed to enhance existing procurement systems to increase on-contract spending and improve enterprise productivity and spend management. Through the SciQuest Supplier Network (SQSN), organizations can enable a critical mass of supplier catalog content which is crucial to maximizing purchasing efficiency, user adoption and spend visibility.

Seamless business document exchange is provided between SciQuest's Order Manager and Settlement Manager and Oracle procurement applications using Fusion Middleware. The use of this architecture allows Oracle customers to easily tailor their business processes and helps to assure a smooth transition to newer versions and upgrades of Oracle applications.

Customers such as the University of Pennsylvania are already taking advantage of the integrated solution. "By offering this as a competitive advantage to our suppliers we were able to renegotiate existing contracts as well as negotiate new contracts resulting in over 68 percent of purchase order transactions being issued to participating online preferred suppliers," said Ralph Maier, University of Pennsylvania Director of Purchasing Services. "It is the integration of these two leading solutions that have enabled us to achieve such significant results."

"Effective supplier enablement is crucial to successful deployment of an enterprise procurement platform," said SciQuest, Inc President and CEO Stephen Wiehe. "Organizations investing in Oracle ERP solutions can now fill the supplier enablement gap, solving customer content issues, streamlining operations and further increasing ROI on their Oracle applications."
