Bob Horowitz Joins SciQuest as Vice President of Commercial Sales

Research Triangle Park , N.C. , April 27, 2005 -SciQuest Inc., announced today the addition of Bob Horowitz as its vice president of commercial sales in which Bob will manage all sales activities for the Life Science and Commercial sectors. Bob is responsible for leading the sales team as SciQuest expands its market focus beyond Life Science and Higher Education into Fortune 1000 businesses in several industry segments.

Prior to joining SciQuest, Bob was the director of sales for KANA Software, a leader in CRM software focused on enabling outstanding customer care in multinational companies. Previously, Bob served as director of sales for the Pharmaceutical and Commercial Sector of i2 Technologies in the Northeast Region where he lead a sales team focused on Supply Chain Management, Supplier Relationship Management and the development of Electronic Marketplaces. In this position Bob led the expansion of i2 into new business markets and grew the business 400%.

Bob also brings relative experience in the life sciences market having served as vice president of sales for Biosym Technologies, a leader in molecular modeling software for the life science and chemical industries. In addition, he held various roles in the information technology industry including multiple direct sales and senior management positions at Wang Laboratories, the market leader in the development of office automation/IT solutions.

Bob holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Management from Pace University and a Bachelor of Art in Economics from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
