Stephen Wiehe
President and Chief Executive Officer
Since joining SciQuest as president and CEO in 2001, Steve has taken the company from an e-market exchange to the leading provider of on-demand eprocurement solutions for academic, healthcare and research-centric organizations. His vision for SciQuest’s future led him to take the company private in 2004 and focus on creating a business-driven culture that provides organizations with a proven solution to achieve significant cost savings and advance their mission.
Steve has led the company to a compelling financial position by growing revenues and deeply instilling fiscal responsibility, making SciQuest the only profitable eprocurement provider. He focuses on guiding the company to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction through innovative product development and a dedicated professional services team.
Steve’s early success as a technology entrepreneur continues to fuel his passion for leading companies to excellence. Prior to SciQuest, he served as senior director, strategic investments & mergers and acquisitions at SAS Institute in Raleigh, North Carolina. He joined SAS in June 2000, after SAS acquired DataFlux Corporation, where he served as president and CEO.
Before joining DataFlux, Steve was managing director/Europe and senior executive vice president for SunGard Treasury Systems, a division of SunGard Data Systems, Inc., and president and CEO of Multinational Computer Models, Inc., which was sold to SunGard Data Systems in 1998.
A well-seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience, Steve started his career with the General Electric Company. He graduated from its renowned Financial Management Program with honors and became treasurer of GE Plastics. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Rudy Howard
Chief Financial Officer
Rudy is responsible for the financial strategy and fiscal management of the company. He brings over 30 years of financial leadership experience. Rudy has provided the financial management for a number of global organizations, overseeing areas such as public and private company financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and financial planning and analysis.
Prior to joining SciQuest Rudy served as Senior Vice President and CFO at MDS Pharma Services, Inc., a multi-national pharmaceutical services organization, where he directed all aspects of financial planning and analysis, helped develop corporate and product strategies, and managed the transition of acquisitions and divestitures. He also held CFO roles at other leading organizations, including Peopleclick, an international human capital management software developer; Marketing Services Group, Inc., a marketing and internet technology company; and Pharmaceutical Product Development, a global pharmaceutical organization.
Howard also served as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he oversaw the management of clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, high technology and financial services industries. Howard is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from North Carolina State University.
Jeff Martini
Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Jeff is responsible for the direction of SciQuest’s global sales initiatives. He brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience in technology markets, developing sales strategies and building exceptional sales teams.
Prior to joining SciQuest, Jeff served as vice president of worldwide sales for VirtualEdge Corporation, a world-leading provider of real-time recruiting software for the extended enterprise. In this position, he led the sales organization to 100% year-over-year growth. Previously, Jeff served as vice president of worldwide sales at Primavera Systems, a portfolio management vendor, where he was responsible for significantly growing enterprise software sales for the company.
Jeff also served in multiple roles at SCT Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise software applications, including corporate vice president of sales. While at SCT, he designed and implemented sales and sales management best practices across the global sales organization for all vertical markets. Jeff is a graduate of Gettysburg College.
Charles Irek
Vice President of Technology
As vice president of technology, Charles is responsible for all development and infrastructure resources behind SciQuest’s suite of collaborative, SaaS-based source-to-settle solutions. His extensive experience leading software development organizations and his entrepreneurial background are key in overseeing the development of innovative products that help support the overall success of SciQuest’s customers.
Charles has successfully led several multimillion-dollar technology solutions for IBM and GlaxoSmithKline, and has also led multiple early-stage software firms to commercial software offerings and revenue capture. Before joining SciQuest, Charles was the CTO and VP of Software Engineering for Diagnosoft Inc., a point-of-care healthcare analytics company. While at Diagnosoft, he was able to expand the company’s product offering by more than 300 percent while building essential vendor relationships and forming strategic partnerships with vital advisors. He also served as vice president of software engineering for Proventys, Inc. where he was responsible for building and leading the company’s software development capability.
Charles holds an MBA from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.
Teresa Jamison
Vice President of Customer Operations
Teresa leads the company’s customer-facing operations, including client delivery and partnerships, supplier network services and customer support programs. Teresa brings more than 23 years of experience and proven success in customer service, training and operations management at leading healthcare IT organizations to SciQuest.
Prior to joining the SciQuest team, Teresa was the area vice president of services for Allscripts Healthcare Systems. While at Allscripts, she was responsible for the Southeast region for Allscripts products implemented in the ambulatory, enterprise and community space. Previously, she served as regional director of client experiences for Misys Healthcare Systems, where she assisted the Atlantic and Southeast regional sales teams in proposals, prospect presentations and implementation escalations. While at Misys, Teresa also held a variety of management positions, including director of connected community implementations, director of client implementation services for the company’s hospital diagnostic division, director of divisional operations and director of client support services.
Teresa holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Western Carolina University.
Maurice Sevigny
Vice President of Operations, CLM
Maurice is based in SciQuest’s Edmonton office and leads the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) operations. He has more than 26 years of business, consulting and information systems experience through a variety of organizations and roles, and has a proven track record of effectively leading large product development teams within complex, global organizations. Maurice also has a passion for developing dedicated and effective leaders and teams within Information Systems and professional services organizations.
Maurice’s experience includes: vice president, professional services at TECO Natural Resource Group; director of product development for the global business division at Intuit; CIO for Intuit Canada & UK; director, product management for Intuit Canada & UK; director, customer information system – ATCO; and director, child health benefit program – IBM. Maurice is also the founder of Paragon Business Solutions Inc, an MIS consulting firm, where he served as president and managing director for 18 years.
Maurice is also the recipient of the Alberta Premier’s Award of Excellence, for managing the development and delivery of the Provincial Child Health Benefit Program.
Stacy West
Vice President, Marketing & Communications
Stacy brings more than 25 years of strategic marketing, sales and management experience to her role as Vice President, Marketing & Communications at SciQuest. Stacy is responsible for marketing plan development and execution, internal and external communications, demand generation, branding, public relations and event management.
Prior to joining SciQuest, Stacy was the Director of Marketing at Océ, a Canon Company where she managed the go-to-market activities and the Customer Experience Center. Before joining Océ, Stacy was at Hewlett-Packard in San Diego, CA in a similar role, as Graphic Arts Marketing Manager for the Americas, in the Graphics Solutions Business where she managed the marketing activities for the Indigo, DesignJet, Scitex and High-Speed Inkjet divisions.
Stacy also has editorial and publishing experience, as General Manager and Director of Marketing for Interaction Publishers as well as extensive experience in financial marketing having served as Vice President, Marketing for LeasePartners, a capital equipment leasing company. Stacy attended Coe College for her undergraduate degree.
Ann Thomas
Vice President of Human Resources
Ann is responsible for the strategic direction and management of SciQuest’s human resource policies and programs. In this role, she upholds the company’s continued commitment to recruiting the most qualified and capable workforce, and to realizing the highest levels of employee satisfaction. Ann brings more than 20 years of experience in every facet of the field to the company.
Prior to joining SciQuest, Ann was a director at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the national, professional organization for all CPAs. In this position, she led the acquisition of talent that resulted in hiring more than 400 employees for the relocated organization.
Previously, Ann served as vice president/HR business partner for the Social and Statistical Sciences group at RTI International, which offers innovative research and development as well as a full spectrum of multi-disciplinary services worldwide. She also served as an assistant vice president for St. Joseph Health System in California.
Ann holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands.
Grant Collingsworth
General Counsel
Grant is responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance matters for the company, including securities law compliance and transaction matters. He brings over 20 years of legal experience in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate finance and legal project management. He has extensive experience with companies executing growth strategies through acquisitions, as well as companies in numerous initial and secondary public offerings and other corporate finance transactions.
Prior to joining SciQuest, Grant spent over 14 years as a partner at Morris, Manning & Martin, a large full-service law firm, where he represented public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, securities offerings and securities compliance. He has experience working with both early-stage and later-stage growth companies in financing transactions, including some of the largest venture capital transactions in the Southeast.
Collingsworth received a B.A. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and a J.D. from Emory University’s School of Law.
